Do you dream of having a red carpet-worthy smile? Did you know that cosmetic dentistry can provide people the smile of their dreams? In the past, cosmetic dental treatments such as veneers were typically popular among Hollywood’s elite, but today, improving the aesthetics of a smile is increasingly popular among people from all walks of life. Those with smile flaws such as chips, stains, and crooked teeth benefit from the placement of porcelain veneers.
How Veneers Improve One’s Appearance
Some people mistakenly believe that a straight, white smile is the result of luck or “good genetics”. This notion, however, could not be further from the truth. Most of the time, behind every flawless-looking smile, is the work of a trained cosmetic dentist. To achieve a uniformly straight and healthy-looking white smile, porcelain veneers may be recommended. These specially crafted, razor-thin pieces of porcelain are cemented to the outside of teeth. By bonding porcelain veneers over teeth, even the most troublesome and noticeable of smile flaws can be concealed.

The process for receiving dental veneers is relatively simple for the patient. After a patient has been determined a good candidate for veneers, our dentist will remove a small portion of tooth enamel from the teeth to be treated. Once this process is complete, our team will take molds of a patient’s teeth. These molds will be used to determine the exact size and shape of each veneer. After the veneers have been handmade in a dental laboratory, the patient will return to our office for the bonding process. The teeth will be lightly etched to create a stable bonding surface, dental cement will be applied over the teeth, and each veneer will be attached to its corresponding tooth. To finalize the process, our dentist will harden the dental cement with a special curing light.
Once the process is completed, patients will leave our office with a total smile makeover featuring straight-looking, uniformly white teeth.
